Royal blue hooded capelet.

This capelet was made from a heavy royal blue fabric, making a warm and durable garment.

It has a double layered cape around the shoulders, the top one a little shorter than the bottom to give it a layered effect.  Both capes are full circles, which makes the garment sit on the shoulders better - because the weight is evenly distributed between front and back it does not tend to pull back at the throat.

The hood was full and deep with a long point at the back as illustrated in the photographs.  Lastly, but by no means least, it is fastened at the front with a silver coloured clasp.
