This capelet was made from heavy black fleece, making a warm and durable garment.
It has a double layered cape around the shoulders, the top one a little shorter than the bottom to give it a layered effect. Both capes are full circles, which makes the garment sit on the shoulders better - because the weight is evenly distributed between front and back it does not tend to pull back at the throat.
The hood was full and deep with a long point at the back as illustrated in the photographs. This was also made without a fastener to allow the new owner to fit a fastener of their choice.
